Junior Church

Junior Church is usually held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, during school term time, at The Grange Centre, Newburn Road, Throckley (next to Sainsbury’s) at 11.00 am.  A team of leaders take turns to lead in pairs. Each structured session includes a Bible reading, prayers, story, game, activity sheets, and juice and biscuits.

Leaders and children meet at St Mary’s Church, Throckley at about 10.50 am, before the service begins and walk down to The Grange Centre together.  Parents may also take their children straight to The Grange Centre themselves if they prefer.

Most children who currently attend Junior Church are of primary school age or younger.  We are currently seeking to work with the deanery on a way forward for those in the 11+ age bracket.
