The devastating fire has completely ruined the interior of the Tower, and the nave roof. Extensive damage has been caused by smoke and water. Full restoration will take place once the structure is stabilised. Major cracking in the stonework is the main focus of our structural engineers at the moment.

The bells were destroyed in the fire and have been removed from their precarious resting place to the bell foundry. A new set of eight bells were cast in October 2007 to replace the original six. Contact us if you are interested in bell ringing. It keeps you fit!
